A stand-alone stereo encoder offering a dual-mode composite limiter (Orban’s patented “Half-Cosine Interpolation composite limiter or a hard clipper with overshoot compensation and band-limiting to 55kHz), and ITU-R 412 multiplex power controller, a left/right domain overshoot limiter (ideal for compressed links), an adjustable phase-linear lowpass filter, and a 64 kHz base sample rate. Pre-emphasis 50µs or 75µs. Inputs: AES3 digital and electronically balanced stereo analog (XLR). Sample rates automatically selected for AES/EBU input: 32,
44.1, 48, 88.1, and 96 kHz. Two SCA inputs (BNC) with adjustable sensitivity. 10 MHz reference input allows the pilot tone and output sample frequency to be locked to a high-precision reference like GPS. Output sample rates selected in software: 32, 44.1, 48, 88.1, and 96 kHz. Outputs: Two stereo encoder composite outputs (BNC).
